SOUTHERN RIGHT WHALES

Up close, rough patches of skin on their heads are clearly visible.
BRYDE’S WHALES
Though less common, Bryde’s whales can occasionally be spotted in the area. These whales are typically more elusive, staying further offshore. They can be identified by their sleek bodies and a unique dorsal fin that curves backward, and a distinctive low, bushy blow.
