Village n Life, through its Village Bakery based at The Bay Hotel, proudly announces its steadfast commitment to community well-being by supporting Ignisive, a leading Social Impact organisation in Camps Bay and Clifton, with a commendable contribution of 10% of bread sales.
Over the past year, Village n Life has demonstrated unwavering support for Ignisive through not only generous financial contributions but also by donating its delectable baked breads to the Columborg Safe Space Shelter. This collaboration aligns with Village n Life’s dedication to making a positive impact in the communities they serve

Ignisive, with a mission to foster Social Impact in various communities, has been running a Community Steward project for three years. This initiative has successfully aided in the reintegration of homeless individuals off the streets, utilising a transitional volunteer support program that facilitates their transition into independent living and mainstream employment.
The collaboration between Village n Life and Ignisive exemplifies a remarkable synergy between businesses and social enterprises. By donating a significant portion of bread sales, Village n Life is playing a crucial role in supporting Ignisive’s efforts to extend its reach and help more individuals move away from homelessness.
Theresa Massaglia, Co-Founder and Director of Ignisive, expressed her gratitude, stating, “We thank Village ‘n Life for the difference they’re making, not only in shifting the lives of those committed to moving off the street but also for the conscious impact they’re making in the communities in which they serve.
Village n Life made Valentines Day cookies for the children at Kalksteenfontein, where Ignisive hosted a “Love Day” Workshop to inspire them with self-love and kindness.
Ignisive, with over a decade of experience in various Social Impact interventions, has pioneered a collaborative model that uniquely integrates stakeholders from local, provincial, and national government, businesses, and the community. This holistic approach ensures meaningful and positive change in the lives of those in need.
Village n Life and Ignisive invite the entire community to join hands in supporting this noble cause. Through collective efforts, businesses and social enterprises can continue to make a lasting impact on the lives of individuals seeking a path to independence and stability.
As part of the donation from Village n Life, a R500 food voucher was donated towards each Ignisive Steward and a contribution was made towards a celebratory end of year braai at Maiden’s Cove.
